This is an interesting book. The publishers wrote to the six best crime writers of the time. The idea being for them each to write a short novel , pitting themselves against Ex Superintendent Cornish (CID), to see if they could out-wit him. Rusell Thorndike's contribution is "The Strange Death of Major Scallion" when I have finished it, I'll review it. |
